ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

How it all began

Established in late 2002, Advocates for Youth Philippines (A4Y) was organized by concerned parents, students and media personalities after conducting a survey on the lack of information the youth and even parents knew about early sex, pregnancy and its consequences, including issues on STD and HIV/AIDS. This was later followed by a series of awareness campaigns that were organized in schools and parenting for which therefore proves the need to continue with the campaign effort.

What we do

Advocates for Youth Philippines Foundation disseminate information that encourages healthy and responsible decisions among the youth. It works in collaboration with private corporations, schools, other non-profit organizations and international institutions to integrate efforts and develop alliances to address sexual health issues that concerns the youth.

The Campaign actively promotes cause marketing with private companies by organizing events and activities that directly communicate prevention of teen pregnancy, STD and HIV/AIDS. Road shows, symposium, expositions, and other campaign programs are organized targeting the youth, parents and their communities.

Collaborating with private corporations on partnership programs, it raises issues to give back to the youth especially with companies whose products are marketed to the youth. Advocates for Youth Philippines encourage social responsibility, giving value to the youth as the next generation accountable to the country’s future.
